New Build Rules
MORAYFIELD LANDSCAPERS
Each estate in Morayfield has varying covenants for landscaping, and we make sure that you adhere to these whilst still having a yard that is unique to you. Some of the common covenants we see across new build estates in Morayfield are listed below - but don't stress! We know the exact landscaping covenants for your area and will advise you appropriately.
Compliant, but uniquely yours — there's real room to make it your own within the approved guidelines. We guide your choices so your yard meets the rules without looking like every other block on the street.
At least two advanced trees — minimum 45L and around 1.8m tall at planting, between your home and the verge. We supply and plant suitable, non-invasive species.
Garden beds over at least 50% of the front — planted beds across half of your front soft-landscaping, with high-quality turf in the rest, and a balanced mix of native shrubs and ground covers.
Proper edging & planting — concrete, steel, masonry or treated-timber edging (no logs or plastic), and climate-suited, non-invasive plants.
Fencing to the guidelines — 1.8m good-neighbour timber paling set behind the building line and painted to suit (“Monument” on corner lots). Colorbond and corrugated iron aren't permitted — we build it right.
Driveway, letterbox & verge — finished to standard with coloured, exposed-aggregate or paver surfaces (no plain grey concrete or gravel).
The deadline that catches people out: in new build estates, your landscaping and fencing generally must be done within three to six months of your home's completion. We plan the whole job to hit it comfortably — and because guidelines can change and some rules are specific to your lot, we confirm the current requirements for your block before we start.
